[Tinymux] Talking to external code.

I've got to say I'm seeing it as the snake-pit. What's the burning need for
PHP? I can understand SQL a bit, as there are a great number of databases
already in SQL format, especially for RPG's. It seems to be a not-too-far-off
piece of support. Sure, there could be a a side-program made that converts
SQL into a MUX DB ".dll" that then is glued onto the end of your database...
yeah, SQL hooks just seem a lot smarter.

But PHP... I just don't see it. If you're at the level where you /need/ PHP
because MUX just doesn't have the capabilities you need, then you're
probably at the level where you can code in PHP. If you're at the level where
you /need/ PHP because you're more comfortable with that, then you could
probably use the mental exercise of learning a new way of doing things. I can
just see PHP becoming a gigantic crutch, allowing lazy little webpage brats
who are entirely dependent upon PHP to write code that is so horrible as to
defy the laws of nature.

PHP may be nice, I'm not saying it wouldn't be. But is it really a can of worms
we /need/ opened up?
