Have you tried @hook ?
I recently used it to disable @sweep, and tested a cloned @sweep. @hook took care of the problems that a normal softcoded command would produce (eg NOSPOOF flags).
Now I'm a coder, but I'm also lazy. @hook took concentration, but I didn't get a headache over it. Sooo, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Whether MUX will trigger the @hook'ed look or not when moving or @teleport'ing is for you to test. I think it should, but I could see how it might not.
