Space compress

CONFIG PARAMETER: space_compress <yes/no>

DEFAULT: yes

Specifies whether or not extra spaces are to be removed from user input as it is processed. If enabled, multiple spaces are compressed to a single space, and spaces at the ends of strings are removed.
