Strunique()
Description
FUNCTION: strunique(<string>)
Removes duplicate grapheme clusters from a string, keeping only the first occurrence of each. Unlike unique(), which operates on list words, strunique() operates on individual grapheme clusters.
Examples
> say strunique(hello)
You say, “helo”
> say strunique(aabbcc)
You say, “abc”
